Laura Howell worked in publishing for several years before finally succumbing in July 2006 to her primal urges to draw stupid stuff full time. Since then, amongst other things, she's won a major Manga award and co-edited an anthology of comic strips by fellow Birmingham-based artists. She's currently working for The Beano, which was apparently Nick Park's childhood dream. Ironically, Laura dreams of owning the copyright to Wallace and Gromit.
